An Explanation
I bet you are wondering why someone would embrace being called a catastrophe and if you are not, buckle yourself in because I’m going to explain it anyway. See the thing is, I am a 26 year old Pepperdine Graduate. I have one dog and two cats (I am a shameless pet parent like every good millennial). I love acting, I mean shoot, I got my degree in it, but the world had other plans for me, so now I am trying to make my way in digital marketing. You have to love a big left turn in your mid-twenties. At the end of the day, I am just trying to figure out my place in this crazy world we live in. The whole “Katastrophe Kate” nickname came from my boyfriend who thinks he is very funny (can't let it go to his head). The first time I met his family, we went to dinner and at the end of the meal I proceeded to laugh while I was taking a sip of water and I managed to choke so hard that I threw up at the table… a catastrophe. Thankfully his Mom and sister are kind and have a great sense of humor, so it could have been worse. That is where Katastrophie Kate began. Since then, I realize that sometimes I am so quirky that odd things tend to happen. I am extremely clumsy, I am not great at “using my words” ( I make up my own on occasion), and when I cook I almost always make it look like something exploded in the kitchen. Now that you have an explanation as to the name of this website, I think it might be good to say that sometimes I do have my ish together. As someone who at times feels alone in my struggles, I want to put it out there with this site that maybe someone else is trying to “figure it out” too. I will share my successes, my failures, the things that make me happy and probably a whole lot more.
